Nest Turns Hand-Held into Hands-Free

The NEST’s unique design allows for portrait or landscape orientation. There are no adjunct tri-pods or stands to carry. The case is its own vertical or horizontal prop.
The product is the brainchild of the company’s creator, Del Necessary, who found himself clumsily propping his iPhone against a soup bowl in an effort to entertain his then two-year-old daughter while at dinner with friends. Later, he thought there had to be a better way for hands-free use. Thus began the 12-month quest to find a stand for his phone. Since he hated to carry car keys, let alone a phone, the stand had to be a part of his phone case. He searched the internet for such a case, but he could only find cases with swings, clips and hooks—all of which added unwanted bulk. Knowing there was a niche need, he took matters into his own hands and developed and patented the NEST.
By using precision slots, NEST is the ideal all-in-one case/stand. Users can set the device either upright or sideways. Portrait is great for reading a book, using the alarm clock, checking your to-do list, listening to music or cruising the App Store. Landscape is perfect for watching movies, viewing pictures and slideshows. As an added benefit, the slots offer improved grip when holding the phone while talking.
The NEST is designed for the iPhone 4, 4th Gen iPod Touch, iPhone 3G/3GS and the 2nd Gen iPod Touch. It is available in black, white and pink.
